For the last twenty years and counting, Nik has harbored an obsession with a world that has existed only in his mind – until now. Coming of age in a quiet nook in the mountains of Vermont, his closest friends in childhood included Frodo Baggins and Han Solo (and a one-eyed black cat named Gappy). With such a background, it was unsurprising that in his adolescent years he became an unrepentant geek, spending his days with his nose buried in Dungeons & Dragons rulebooks and sci-fi/fantasy novels. Significantly, it was during this time that he wrote the history of an original world for a role-playing game he was running that would ultimately go on to become the kernel of an idea around which he would build the Age of the Unifier books. He attended Macalester College, earning a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and developing a pronounced interest in Medieval Literature in the process. In the time since, he has continued to hone the ideas and plotlines of Age of the Unifier, and has recently decided that the time is ripe to finally share with the world the story that has so consumed his thoughts for so long.
