My apologies for the slow rate of updates, but the time I spend working on the website tends to come out of the time I have to spend working on the second book, and based on what I’ve been hearing from those of you I hear from, you’re all more interested in seeing A Prayer For War than you are in finding out what books I read, movies I watch, and music I listen to. On that front, I’m happy to say that work on the book has been going well of late, and while there’s still quite a way to go until it will be ready, it’s shaping up to be a richer and more complex story even than I had anticipated going in. Rest assured, this one will be worth the wait.

Now, as a writer, I support protection for copyrights and intellectual property, and rely on such protections for my work. That said, I find several of the provisions in these Acts to be overly punitive and stifiling of speech on the internet. Other portions have been pointed out to be problematic from a technical perspective to the way the internet operates. Therefore, while I will not be blacking out ageoftheunifier.com as so many other sites are doing, I do lend my voice to theirs in opposing these ill-conceived bills, and encourage my fans to contact their legislators and urge them to vote against SOPA and PIPA.
